About Encounter
Encounter is a space where you can meet God. It invites you to spend an hour of your time every two months to take a step back and reflect on the meaning of life with like-minded people. It is a place for seekers; a space to explore faith and fellowship in a safe and unpressurised environment.
Each session contains:
- Spiritual music with instruments and voice
- Food and fellowship together
- Simple prayers, songs and reflections
- A safe space from the busyness of life

All are welcome to come along to Encounter. Just bring yourself. Each session lasts for about an hour. Beforehand, drinks and nibbles are served, free of charge, in the ajoining room.
Encounter is an initiative of the Church of England, developed by St. George's Church, Stockport. It meets at St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church, Stockport SK7 3EX.
